The event, which saw 18 participants, is part of a larger initiative aimed at improving local health preparedness. The DH9 Foundation, founded by Lesley and Rodger Hill in memory of their son David, who tragically passed away during a rugby match due to an undiagnosed heart condition, is a testament to resilience in the face of sorrow. The foundation’s dedication to providing free training is essential, turning private grief into public good.
Community Commitment: Summerpark's Role
The Summerpark Community Association, initiated by residents Dale Graham and Pamela Wright, plays a crucial role in funding defibrillator installations and promoting CPR awareness. With three defibrillators now installed and more expected, their efforts reflect a proactive approach to safety in the neighborhood, ensuring that no one faces a health crisis alone.
