Living in Edinburgh’s heart, I adored the vibrant city lifestyle, but as our family grew, so did our need for space. With two kids, the modern townhouse we loved became cramped. We found a beautiful Victorian semi-detached house, brimming with potential and enough charm to become our forever home. Though it required modernization, the large garden, which captured our children’s hearts at the first viewing, sealed the deal.

Now, Leith is truly where we belong. The community spirit here is palpable, especially in places like Leith Links, which became our favorite outdoor space. With my son joining Leith Athletic Football Club, we’ve embraced local social life, perfectly blending into this energetic environment. The rich café and restaurant scene adds layers of delight to our daily lives, with walking-distance eateries restoring that city-like charm we loved in our previous home.
Convenient Transport and Future Opportunities
To our surprise, the new tram extensions represent a significant upgrade for residents, efficiently connecting us to the airport and beyond, enhancing our family visits. As we reflect on our journey from a bustling Broughton Street lifestyle to the unique blend Leith provides, we’re excited about its continued growth and community vibes.
