Last week, Stranraer Academy showcased its talented young entrepreneurs at the regional finals of Young Enterprise, held at the Cairndale Hotel. In a gathering of around 100 attendees, including supporters, educators, and family members, the two competing teams highlighted the importance of creativity and commitment in youth-led businesses.
Recognizing Excellence in Innovation
While neither of the teams, Bubble-Bees nor Happy Bundles, took home the top honor, their efforts were celebrated with multiple awards. Bubble-Bees, known for their unique bee-themed products, earned the Best Report award for their business's well-documented journey. On the other hand, Happy Bundles, which marketed curated packs of toys and stationery, won the prize for Best Trade Stand, drawing attention with their impressive display.
Inspired Guidance from Dedicated Mentors
Sara Smith, the link teacher supporting both teams, received the Link Teacher of the Year award, reaffirming the critical role educators play in fostering entrepreneurial spirit among students. Her guidance not only contributed to the teams' accomplishments but also inspired them to explore their potential further.
